Good day all. I am fairly new to member on this site. I am 53 and retired (hence the 52weekbreak handle) and own a 2012 Honda 420 ATV and a 2012 Summit 800 154 plus 5th wheel trailer. I have spent he first year of retirement enjoying myself and getting back into shape and was doing well. I took up road cycling last year and lost 25 pounds since then. Unfortunately, one cannot reverse 35 years of fairly intense living in a year and on June 21, I had a minor heart attack. The doc put in 3 stents so I actually have pretty good blood flow again but will need to take it a little easier for the next year. My first rehab was this morning and I got the green light for a half hour of medium exercise per day so come the snow I should be in decent shape. I will be looking to make at least three or four trips to the mountains and am looking for some relaxed riding buddies. I am confident I will be able to hold my own but I will need to feel my way along for a bit. Suggestions for riding areas and possible riding groups wold be appreciated. Cheers

Thanks for the welcome. An interesting site and I would be delighted to come on down to Fernie for a look=see. The last coupe of years has been to the Kakwa area south of Grande Prairie. Fantastic spot but a real journey as it is about an hour and 1/2 each way and there is no place to stay out there unless you set up a camp. Makes for real long days.

Do you ride with a GPS and have any Mapping Software in/on your computer? Interested in the area North /West of GC. Beaver Dam Road.

Bunch of old farts on this ite that like to ride at a gentler pace. I like trails in the bush and explore new areas in central Alberta. Many here do both sled and quad so you should have no problem getting riding buddies. I live in Sherwood Park for now Calgary Later.

Welcome to the site
