New to snow and mud.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum, I would like to say hi and introduce my self a little bit. I'm a avid quader, I ride '09 700 Rhino and the old lady rides a '09 500 Grizzly. We live in Fort Saskatchewan and love anything to do in the outdoors. I was hoping that someone could tell me how the trail between Robb and Cadomin, that goes up to the waterfalls is? With all the flooding, is the river crossable? What about the campsites along the river too? We are planning on going there for the long weekend, any feed back would be great.

Im assuming you are talking about Ruby Falls. You cross Cardinal river at start and Ruby creek 20 times to get to falls. The Cardinal is usually pretty deep until mid July/Aug. might want to were a wet suit in the Rhino. There is random camping at the staging area at the river and a little further up the road a larger field. Look in the search for Ruby Falls and it should spit out all the info you need. Check out my youtube vid Ruby Falls Sept 24 11 and it will give you and idea of what to expect. Keep in mind this was a dry spring. Welcome to the site.

Thanks for the info Grinder, I heard Ruby falls was nice. But I'm actually looking for the trail that is about 10 KM past the bridge on the Mcloud river where all the backwoods campsites are in between Robb and Cadomin. The trail heads south of the road and 100 yards in you cross the tracks then about 500 yards you come to the river. I was talking with locals to the area and they said there are falls up there too. On may long we went about 6 KM up and I ended up blowing my 2 rear axles, so we decided to head down before I was really hooped. I would like to try it again this weekend but unsure of the height of the river. I'm not sure if anyone knows where i'm talking about but Robb is new area to me as well so if there are any other scenic trails that you don't have to cross the high water that would be good to know.

Know that trail, have been on it many times, nice ride. Crossing the river on that stretch of trail won't be a problem. Pretty flat and wide part of the river.. If you don't make it this weekend we are planning a trip there on the sept. long weekend, you are welcome to join us.
