Hi everybody, i'm a 26 year old female, who just got her first real bike! I bought a 2008 yamaha ttr230. I do have some experience riding but i'm not a confident rider... yet. I'm looking for some fun places in alberta/bc to ride. I dont have many people to ride with, so if theres any places you know thats safe to go by yourself, please let me know.

Thanks!
Corrie

Hi Corrie, there is always the obvious place to ride which is McLean creek, it is close to Calgary and always lots of people around in case you get in trouble. trails range in skilllevel from beginner to pretty hairy.

Have fun, it's a good bike to learn on....

PS invest in some protective gear, full face helmet, goggles, chest protector, knee pads, boots, gloves, elbow pads, pants and a jersey should be the minimum...

So just curious, where did you buy the bike from?

i've been to Mcclean twice since i've bought the bike. I have all the gear, minus the chest protector.. its next on the list of stuff to buy! i bought the bike of kijiji, seems to be in good shape, its lots of fun. A bigger bike then i was riding before..

Enjoy, like I said it's a great bike to learn on, once you get used to the size, you may grow out the bike, they are designed a little under powered....

I hope you checked the serial number out with motor vehicles or the RCMP, thereis a lot of them getting stolen and sold on Kijiji.....were still looking for ours that got stolen last fall...

PS there are lots also being sold legitimately
