Hi snow and mud
i have read a lot of post dealing with my problem and decide to join.
My Yamaha 1980 e338 engine has lost all spark it started out running ruff at low idle and had week spark I noticed the external coil wire was cracked oem 808 replaced with rec supply number 001-143-15 still had the same problem read that the cdi goes on this engine I don’t know anything about cdi the cdi I have is oem 8h4 replaced with rec supply number 01-415 same problem did I get the wrong parts?pulled the flywheel and stator saw the black/ground wire got to hot and was melted repaired wires put back together now I have no spark thought I cooked the alternator so I replaced with a used one that came off a running engine stator tests are w/r-black 9.7
brown-black 335
blue-black 15.2
brown/blue 349
these numbers I think are correct?
So I spent the day checking all the wiring harnesses fun fun
put all back together still no spark
what have I done wrong?
