An informal intro. Not enough snow for snow machines and a little to much for my quad. Ordering a set of tracks for the quad, a 2006 Polaris Hawkeye, so I can use it this time of the year. Not fast though, but been there done that years ago. Prefer my machinery to be stock (I don't like walking or being towed home). Have raced cars, boats, snow mobiles, and aircraft so reliability has moved to the front of my preferences. Previously owned a 900 cc. Rupp Nitro, 440 cc Rupp Magnum, 440 cc Skidoo Blizzard, and a 294 cc
Skidoo Elan. I don't have any favourite manufacturers and I don't like brand bashing. I love reponsible and considerate use of recreational machines and I try my hardest to understand and pay attention to the "granola people", but sometimes my impatience rises to the surface when "land users" feel my recreation should be banned.
