Hey, I'm from south east of Regina. I did straighten the crank run out on one of my old sleds. Got it pretty dang close. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it on someone else's sled lol have you ever checked your primary for balance? For some reason I thoug the skidoos in that year were notorious for bad balanced primary clutch. Or it could've been that airhead guy with balancing the clutch on the crank or something to balance a crank. Oh well.

I didn't ride that sled yet, just run the engine, it's a rebuild whole engine from recreation in saskatoon, only had like half tank through it when I bought it last spring. Noticed vibration from the engine before buying it, but thought it was a clutch, why would you thing it's a completely rebuilt engine vibrating, runs good... Anyway I took the clutch off and run the engine again now and it's the same vibration, did not change a thing, that sucks :( Put dial indicator on and PTO end - it's about 0.012! So gonna have to take it apart and figure out whats going on in there... Hopefully won't need new crankshaft. Would like to take crank to somebody that knows what they doing, straightened/fixed many of them and stand by there work, but if there's non then will have to try and fix it myself...

I would contact RecSupply they're pretty good people. But there is a place in Saskatoon that does clutch balancing and crank straightening. That much vibration with clutch oft(bad thing to run without clutch on by the way) sounds like the clutch is out of phase. To true a crank you need a good cold chisel to spread the counter weights, a good brass hammer(brass softer then steel so it doesn't damage the crank), a good solid set of V blocks to hold the crank up in the air, usually like them flipable with two sized notches for smaller bearings, a good dial indicator, and a clean crank with TONS of patience...
