After buying an M8 a couple years ago, and a few rides I was hooked, unfortunately last year I didn't get out due to shoulder surgery. But this year, this year I plan to dive right into it! I joined this group to share the experience, glad to be part of the community.

Thank you, Mark.

Welcome to the site.
Remember to take the information you get here with a grain of salt. Most of it is good, the rest is great.

Hey, I am also in red deer and very new to this site. Am wanting to head out to revelstoke or sicamous area very soon as the conditions around central Alberta are terrible, can't even break in the new sled on a lake.
Great information on this site and if you are ever looking for a travelling partner, let me know.
i would like to head out with my son. It he needs more experience before we go to the mountains.
happy sledding!

Welcome Marksimus and apparently benjabel as well.

This site has useful information, tips and tricks and a bit of BS as well. The really good stuff is on the avalanche training and information. If you are going into the mountainous back country, please check the threads out and get at least an AST 1 under your belt.

Hope the awesome torque of that M8 doesn't cause a relapse of your shoulder repairs Marksimus. Hope you guys have a great winter and fantastic rides ahead!
