Hello.
My name is Ken.
I live in the Shuswap area of BC.
Mostly have ridden Revy, Sicamous, Clearwater and Coquihala areas.
Planning to buy a new 450 4 stroke bike and a snow conversion kit soon.
So am here to learn more about them.
Will also be riding Valemount and Mcbride mostly this year, with a few Sicamous trips thrown in.
So want to learn more about the areas as well.
Been into the Renshaw once long time ago, and into Lucille twice.
Got stuck in a back narrow valley once in Lucille and spent till 3 am getting out just 2 sleds. No one else in our group dropped into there.
Was thinking that the next day i was going to be spending lots on a helicopter lol.
I rode once into an area south of Valemount, on the west side of the hwy, but cannot remember what it was called.
Sold our snowmobiles, and so now onto what to buy next.
Bikes will be either a Honda 450X or Yamaha 450FX.
Its mostly what snow kit to buy, and length.
Timbersled, Moto trax, Yeti, Camso, or.....?
She only weighs 115 or 135 dressed in winter gear and pack etc ready to ride.
But I am 210 and 235 ready to ride.
Add spare gas and such to that.
Some trails and boondocking.
Hills and deep snow.
We both will pack head lamps in our packs for after dark.
Yes we have beacons, probes, shovels etc.
Anyone know how much gas to expect to burn per hour riding at say medium hard?
