I’m looking into getting 1, possibly 2 tree stands. Both to fit 2 people, hopefully.
What do you guys recommend?

Floor is 11 feet off ground.
Shack is 6x6

I have another one but it is a ground blind. 4x6. Not quite enough room to draw my bow. Put a little buddy heater in them and its nice

Re: top posters

Not sure how you are getting your walls and roof on.
When I built mine I used a 2x8 PWF ridge board sticking out 2' on each end to hook slings to and lifted in place with a steel grainery picker.
The peak of roof was 21', yours might be even higher.
Looks awsome!!!
Post more pics when done.

Thanks Mike. That will be a wicked little hideout.
One of those will be in the works in the future.

Cabelas has these doubles and you can find them on line.
Depending on sale prices they drop to about $350.
I have never sat in one so I have no idea if they are wobbly or solid when strapped to a tree.
Gorilla brand looked good but that was several years back.
Rivers Edge?

Buddy who's land it is has a little tractor and skid steer with forks in it. We cut trail just wide enough to get them in there.
Roof will be stick built once walls are up.

Here is what my ground blind looked like close to finish.

It sits on a bit of a rise near a creek with lots of Jack pine around so not good for long shooting. Didnt see the need to elevate it there

This is one of my double wides.
Bench folds in half so when you show up you never sit in the snow.
17' to the deck, poles cemented 4' in ground and have the X-bace as well as brace back -no shakey n the wind.

Took a ladder and hung a chainfall on tree branch behind my head at y branch, got tree stand balance point and hoisted most of this in one piece.
Assembled on ground is way easier.

And the single wide style treestand, has arm rest, bow and gun cradle so you don't have to hold stuff on your lap all day.
Ozinics holder below your feet so you not sucking in ozone.

Will take a few pics of the "SHOOTIN SHACK" this weekend.
That one took a little longer to build.

The ladders are only for the treestands.
The rungs are 1/4" wide on top and cut back down 45 degrees on each side, this way snow does not build up on top of the rung and you do not "crunch snow" every step getting into stand in the morning.

For the Shootin Shack i have open stringer stairs and I built a front balcony(4'X11').
I did the stairs and handrail as kids used to go there on their own from house, half mile across pasture.
To dangerous to access a door off of a ladder for kids/drunk adults after weiner roasts in summer-has a fire pit.
Balcony has handrail set in stake pockets so they come out during hunting season - no bullet hoes in them yet.
I will take lots of pics to give you some ideas.
It also has slider RV window in each wall and a 16X24 fold out panel.

This was a 3 week on holiday straight build.

I'm starting to think you've built yourself a hunting resort Randy.

Well it does have a 36" skylight and cupboards in an 8'square Shack - wife always wanted a house with a skylight - some days she does not think I am all that funny.

Yes it really does have a skylight.
Murals on the outside walls.
There is a picture here on S&M somewhere.

I have always had wind chimes, animals get used to odd noises.

Flies - get ready for a kazillion flies in there every fall!!!

Hot water, rubber gloves and a sponge to wash the gross windows!!!
