Would love to goose hunt. Looks like fun. But I like eating the animals i shoot, I still have yet to find a way goose tastes good lol

Hamburger and Jerky is what I do.

You have to marinate with JD (Honey Jack) to make a roast goose taste good.
Drink 6-8oz and then eat the goose.

Well it's that time of the year again.
Sunday morning the barrels should be getting hot and geese will be falling from the sky.
Will post some pictures next week.
120 decoys and 4 blinds loaded in the trailer ready to go.

A bit to warm for me to start flinging arrows at the big game.
But if there are some ungulates taken please post them pics here also.

Good luck and straight shooting to all!

any luck with the geese Randy?

Got talked into more goose hunting on the weekend.
That long grueling flight south will be done by 31 less Canada geese.
4 Shooters and one guy's 11 year old son, got attacked by one that was still pretty lively.
Neck wringer!
Sucked to be a goose.
Did drumbsticks and thighs also, can't handle throwing away good goose meat.

Our elk season was a bust. Just kept running into or out by Grizzly Bears and wolves. Pretty sad around here. Maybe we'll get a moose but it is slim pickins for moose around here too. We may have to settle for a whitetail or Muley, but really our staple is either Elk or Moose in our house.

We'll be heading out for some geese with the pups pretty quick. We ended up with a few grouse so far, but our freezer is looking mighty bare but for some deer sausage left over from last season.

Here's our 7.5 month old pup with her first experience with an actual bird. She has such a soft mouth, and really got into retrieving it, when we set it in the field for her a few times before I cleaned it. Good pup for sure. We got her out of Lloyd this past April.
