I'm looking at a 1996 Geo Tracker 4x4 that is for sale. no rust at all, 3.5 inch lift kit, 31" tires on offset rims. Crawler gears in transfer case. Interior is mint. Very clean unit with low miles. Just wondering if anyone has experience with these rigs and what their thought are about them. I need a hunting rig but don't want a side by side or a quad.:confused:

I don't personally but my son does.
A few years back he bought a Suzuki SJ410 as a hunting rig.
I helped him with a small lift to clear 33's and WOW, that F'n thing goes anywhere, it is amazing.
It weighs in at about 2,000lbs set up with front and rear winches, bushbar and roof racking and all.
Its barely road legal and max speed is maybe 80-90km/hr.
It has solid front and rear axles, so super easy to work on and only a 1000cc motor.
Two years ago he wanted to drop in a small V6 into it, you can buy kits for the conversion but i found a turbo setup from a Firefly at the wrecker for dirt cheap.
I did a simple install and he has been happy with it since for crossing mud holes, it will spin the 33's in the mud if need be.
Fun little jeeper to drive.

I had one for years at our old farm and it went anywhere , used it to pull my rough cut mower and four wheel and never had any issues at all and it was beat to hell and back

When I was in high school my bud used to have an LJ. 3-4 times on his way to school he flopped it on its side (didn’t corner at speed very well..). He’d call and 3 of us would flip it back on its wheels and it was good to go. Only damage ever was a broken mirror. A couple screws and she was show ready. Fun times.
