We travel between Cranbrook and Invermere. Sure shocking to see the lack of any or any kind of wild life along road sides.
Not to worrie BC. Government is looking after our wild life. OR.

It's the rutting season.
They are all hiding in the bushes happily humping away!

Your govt has spent tons of your taxes doing head counts.
Don' worry they are out there.

In the Kootenay riding section, it has been reported that they are closing the Little Sands area (just a little bit east of "your" highway) to motorized vehicles to protect huckleberries. That will surely have a huge positive impact on the wildlife numbers.

I remember driving down through there years ago after a bison hunt and seeing hundreds of elk all over the road. We had to slow right down for a long time
