Did not get a draw this year

Picked up a moose tag North of Red Earth Creek this morning.

Bull Moose

Looks like a road trip and camping in November.

Been scouting all week. Been in on a cow moose, elk herd with a beauty herd bull, and got within 20 yrds of a nice 150-160 wt today.

Going after a bull moose Thursday. Not going to be easy, but I'll give you guys a little weird tip, the moose are responding to grunts already. Never experienced that this early before. A bull and 2 different cows have come in a runnin image.jpg

3 of us got moose draw up by GP. Looking forward to it, all hoping to get it done with our bows. 30 days and we're setting up moose camp.
Looking forward to a freezer full of great organic meat...
Best of luck to all this full and be safe.
Cheers,
SS

When you guys get something, deer, elk, moose, whatever. Do you let the meat hang? Whenever we butcher cattle we let it hang to make the meat more tender and increase the flavour. I'm no hunter, unless you count gophers and coyotes, but I definitely don't eat those little turds.
