I am a painting contractor and hired a 52 yr old alcoholic. He was honest and told me he was a alcoholic He works hard and rarely misses work. After 5 months my Christmas bonus to him was a trip to Mexico with two other staff and my friends and family. All he could say was wow. Before the trip he had Only been as far as kamloops. It felt really good and to see how happy and excited he was was priceless. I am a milionaire cause I am healthy and do good enough to afford sleding quading and some good will. I always believe in karma.

Its not much but i just bought some flowers for my assistants just because and a workout outfit for my cousin because she drives my son to and from school and doesnt ask for a thing.

I have towed, boosted, driven peeps home I always help someone stuck and I am always so lucky when stuck as karma comes back and saves my butt

I like to buy a Tims here and there I have paid a few small grocery bills as well, old lady forgot her money and one fella's card no worky

I always bring my empties to work and give them to our lot guy, he sends the money home to his family that is very poor,, and he also gets my bag of change,, last one was $60 he said,, makes his day for sure,,

I have taken a few random familes for boat rides,,, one little boy asked me one day,, so they came out for a few hours,, that made their day...

I had a older lady rear end me and smash my trailer light reciever and bend my hitch a bit,, admitdley I was ready to snap when getting out of my truck but she was so frazzled, scared and appolagetic I said dont worry about it I will take care of it.......have a good day,, she was speechless

it does feel good to help others and it will come back,,

like they say Karma is a beotch,, so make it right

I gave a highway hauler from florida a well worn set of tire chains a few years ago in acheson at the husky truck stop. he had unloaded his lead trailer the night before and had to wait until the next day to unload the pup. it snowed about a foot overnight and he was stuck in the parking lot in the morning....I woke up to the revving engine and saw what was going on, got out and offered him the use of my chains to get going. he happily accepted, and he then laid the chains out on the ground to drive onto them to put them on. while stuck. so I tell him to hang on, chained him up inside/outside in the wet snow, properly tightened them after he was out, and told him to wear the chains to where he was going in the industrial park and do with them as he pleased. he was pretty happy, and commented that he appreciated the fact that a "bush baby" was there to show him how to put on a set of chains....lol. he tried to give me 20 bucks but I refused it, told him to have a nice day.

JT reminded me with the Timmies' thing, sometimes I'll pay for the guy behind me in the drive thru for chits and giggles. had someone do it to me once....thought that was cool....

I truly believe that we are here to be of service. I try hard to do as much a I can, and my children have adopted this in their own lives.
The most touching moment I can think of off the top of my head is when the kids found a 100 dollar bill. We walked out of the overwaitea grocery store, and a little whirlwind blew it up in front of us. Tatum grabbed it out of the air. In disbelief the kids all looked at me. Wow, at first the thought of... "seriously, 100 dollars just blew into our face" was in the front of their minds. Then reality set in, someone owned this 100 dollars. The kids started naming who could have possibly owned it. They decided that it was possible that an old lady had it for her rent and lost it. So we turned it into the lost and found. The lady in customer service said to the kids, if no one claims it in 10 days you can keep it. Sure enough, 10 days later we got the call. We went to pick up the 100.00. The kids took that 100.00 and donated it to the Canadian Cancer fund. They figured they never lost anything, but someone who we all knew was diagnosed with Cancer a few weeks before may be helped by the 100.00 blowing in the wind.

I think that was Oprah who started the drive thru thingy lol

ya me too,, mine was paid for I was confused so i paid for the one behind me,, it was a trend few years back,, so I do it once and a while still

I like this one and paying for an elderly couples dinner. I always try to go the extra step to make the next persons life a little easier. I'm a young guy so they don't expect you to do these sort of things, all about me me me type of mentality.

I remember one night in the spring a group of kids completely cleaned and mowed this lady's yard while they were gone. Raked up all her leaves and cut the grass, she was astonished when she got back.

I do the coffee drive-thru thing, same as the others had it done to me before so now and then I just pay for the guy behind.

I helped a couple out wanting to buy a christmas gift for thier son dad argued the kid REALLY wanted it, mom argued they could not possibly afford it, I quietly walked by slipped the dad a $50 and never said a word... to this day thinking back to the look on his face chokes me up...

Each time I have gone to the caribean I've taken a spare suitcase packed with chit to give away and use it to bring back my souvineers.

I'm liking what I'm seeing. Had a guy who worked for me struggling with work because he was injured on another job around Xmas on the verge of loosing a bunch if stuff. so I gave him 300 bucks in gift cards for grocery store. Paid his cell bill and truck payment one month and had him and his daughter over for Xmas dinner with me and my family. We also sponsored 2 families last Xmas

Funny thing is I dont have a bunch of mOney and it actually put a damper in my finances by helping this guy out but I just couldn't see him loose his way. Now he has bigger problems. His mom was hit by a car 3-4 weeks ago and passed away.

Couple of Christmases ago we were in line so our kids could visit Santa. There was a young couple ( probably only 18 or so ) with a couple of kids already, you could tell that they were struggling to get by. Their older kid asked them for a picture with Santa and the mom says no that they couldnt afford it. Well the look on that youngsters face was so sad, the wife and I told the photo elf to take a couple of pictures of them and we would pay for them. It wasn't much, but boy was that kid happy!

This right here reminds me of a story that will always bring some tears to my eyes....

It all began in december 2001, it was early december and me, my dad and my mom were in timmys. Same kind of thing as bogger said, a family with young children were sitting at a table and you could tell it wasn't going to be a good christmas that year. The parents were talking about expenses, gifts etc and how they could give the kids a few things.....my dad was listening to their conversation, pulls out his wallet and gives the parents 50 for gifts for each of the kids.... (He had a huge heart)
2 weeks later on december 19th my dad passes away unexpectantly.....

To this year, every december me and my mom look for a family who are hard up on their luck and slip them 50 for every child. I intend on continuing this on every december.

By paying it forward it doesn't just help another family but it keeps my dads spirit and memory alive

I was at the Nascar race in Phoenix 3 years ago and there were 2 U.S. serviceman behind me so I bought them each a beer and thanked them for all they do for us. They were very thankful and shocked when I told them I was from Canada but hey, we are all on the same team right?

well after reading this tonight......I'm going to go pick another yard to do for no charge......Im so broke from not working since it snowed back in feb....but it is almost funny when people cant understand why someone will do something for free! call it advertising lol........they will tell someone!
