Freedom Fest!

So...does anyone else celebrate and throw freedom fests after getting out of relationships after the person's healed and is ready? My group of friends does them and I love it. Been to about 4 or 5 in the last 3 years and they are always fun. Celebrate the freedom of your friend from their relationship with friends, food, drinks and fun.

I have one coming up soon after an on again off again type of long distance relationship that ended a while ago and am finally ready to celebrate my new freedom.

Wondering what to do...celebrate just the ladies with a fancy night out complete with high heels, make up (I don't wear any make up ever) dresses and dancing? Or invite out the guy friends too and have a big bash? Hmmm decisions decisions.

Can't say i've ever been to one lol. I've been shacked up for the last 10 years...and all the girls I know and hang out with have been in steady relationships as well.. But it does sound like a neat idea nonetheless. If your somewhat anything like me, who hangs out with dudes more than gals, and has more guy friends than gal friends, I would invite the boys out too. Depends on your friends I guess? I know that a particular group of guy friends i've been friends with since junior high, and whom I am still good friends with til this day, would be the first people I would invite to a "freedom" party (If i ever had one lol). But, I dont really have any super "close" gfs so i'm hooped there.

Thanks lady! Lucky you to have found an amazing man. I think at one point every single one of my friends and I were all single so we just threw a party because, haha. The boys will most likely be invited. Need some sausage in clam stew, lol.

haha I love that pic for that reason. ahhh funny day. They were part of the guys that we pulled off randomly on the street to come party. We were there from 10am until...it was dark. I don't remember. But did run into a guy at my gym who said "Hey how's it going?" I was like..."Umm good, how are you?" He replied..."you don't remember me do you" at which point I began to sweat and frantically try to remember the night and he said "you ate my plate of wings...I figured you needed it." lmao!

I'm going on my first "girls" trip in a couple weeks to my parents house in Florida. I was surprised I could even find a girl to come with me lol, so it will be interesting... we've both been dating our guys for a while and have never gone on a week long trip without them... so, in a sense it will be a little taste of "freedom".. to an extent, but I think after this long its well overdue. My man goes on boys trips all the time!

Heck yes it's long overdue! I think guys always get the "boys trips", us ladies need to even it out and have "girls" trips, even if there's a few guys there too.

Haha well i'm slowly but surely starting to even it out, I got a couple girls snowboarding trips in this winter, just little weekenders. But definitely nothing near the 9 days i'm about to spend in Florida with some girlies.

Hopefully get some weekend warrior girl trips in this summer! Once the snow is all gone i'm gonna boot it up up to Ft Crack to visit Whitey.. and its lookin like the Snow&Mud Jamboree could be boyfriendless for me...Woohoo! lol

lol. That's not the kind of party I'm hoping for. I do have a guy friend's engagement party in Vegas and our crew of guys are going there have put aside bail money for him, lol. I however don't think he'll be the one needing it

Yeah girl! If you're ever down in Calgary fire me a PM with your number or something. If you come down for stampede you should come with my gf's and I to Doggie Doo. It's a charity rodeo you can actually participate in. I didn't go last year and regretted it. This year tho! :beer:

haha yeah well my parents live in Calgary, so I come down to visit once in a while! Heather and I may be making a few trips down too in the late spring as her man toy is going to school in cowtown, and I wanna do some riding at Blackfoot MX!
