I know it's a little early but I was just looking for some info on plows. I have an old 99 fourtrax 300 4x4 with a 2000 lb super winch, and was wanting to get a plow for it. Just wondering what the best brand guys are goin with and what size I should get. I was looking at the cycle country ones in a 54" and 60". Anyone have any input?

Some guys are sayin a warn plow with the front mount is a nice set up but not sure if that set up will work on mine or not. Honda extreme in edm have the cycle country one, it seems like it would be good. 600 with the mounting brackets and push tubes. The thing I like about the front mount is that you can leave it on all yr round. But I think the mount for this cycle country for mine is a mid mount. They also make a 60" plastic version to but I would think steel is better.

with a 300 Honda I don't think I would go anything larger than a 48" plow.

I would buy the 60 myself. The quad will spin out before it powers out. Unless you have chains on every tire then maybe a 60 is a little to big but it would probably still do the job

I had a 48 on a 400 Kodiak 5 speed
It had low range mind you but wouldn't have trouble pushing snow

I have a 366 artic cat that has a 50" plow and I can clear my lot with no problem for the last 3 years but it takes a little longer in the cold weather with deep snow.... speed is your friend and smart plowing will help as well

On that note has anyone seen self powered snowblowers for quads in Alberta or bc?
