Can this radio be used to talk to standard off the shelf hand held 2 way radio?

if do how? There is a 2 channel select on the 2 way radios, not a frequency

I think it's in the keystone logging thread, there are detailed instructions.

They will talk to anything that you program into them, including the off the shelf ones

Match the GRMS or FRS channel to the frequency. Do a search on Youtube for the steps to program the radio. I've only done the keypad method and it took several attempts to get it right.
You may need to search to find the smaller frequency steps for the "code". GRMS can have channel 22 and code 38 for example.

So I just keypad in 1 of the frequencies that match my 2 ways, all I got on the two way is static

2 way - boafeng = good
boafeng - 2 way = not good

Cannot download it.... I have the manual that come with the radio

I'm not seeing a keystone thread, why doesn't someone just explain it.

Cuz it'll take 9 pages and I hate typing. The download manual explains it very well. The manual that comes with it is useless.
