Something I have always wanted to own, but never have. I would like to be able to use the back roads maps to do some exploring in Alberta and BC. What should I be looking at?
The rino's are a good.
Just find the one that is 5 watts . They come out of the States.
Smart phone GPS works good and use the google earth app. About the best map around IMO

My keep the screen heated when it is plugged in. I know running them out of a pocket when it is cold the touch doesn't work **** hot.Never had a problem with the touch screen on my sled. Amps mount wired to battery. It's always turned on when in the mount.

So question for you.
Is that sled a e start or a pull start?
I have a pull start but have wanted to cradle mount my GPS like you have.
Problem I have heard is you need to be a 3000-4000 rpm in order to have enough juice to power the GPS.
Drop below that and it switches off.
I wonder if a guy is able to add a battery to a pull start sled and charge it for the purposes of running a GPS......??????
