I just got me a new Garmin Montana 610. Had a buddy fab up a wicked mount for my XMR, but wondering how you guys and girls are mounting your GPS to your sled. I don't really wanna use a regular ole handlebar clamp on mount. Show me what you've done. Thanks in advance.

Excellent locations for your radios
one should run a shoe lace around the radios back to the steering post

have rolled mine and the mount came apart but the Montana was lashed to the post and just dangling there.
Saves buying another 700 GPS and 250 Chip.

Did you run power to the mounts so they are charging and on all the time?

Yeah they get the teathered to the handle bars. Just charge them up at night. So far they hold a charge really well.

I have mine mounted to the left hand dash just above the warmers on my 13 summit. Always put a teather on it and my Ghost hd. Had one of our crew lose a go pro this week...no teather. Will get pic tmrw.

Ram mounts for everything. On the quad it is mounted to the front rack beside the rad. Been rolled and hit and stays put. On the sxs it is mounted to the roll cage in front of the roll cage. On the sled it is mounted to the post. In my street bike it is on the dash behind the windshield. Main thing is to have it below the bars. Less chance of it getting knocked off. All are wired in to a power cord so I don't have to worry about batteries.
