SPYPOINT - GEOPAD Hunting Tablet

Anyone use this? I would like to get a larger screen GPS but not too sure what is out there. Also do not want one that needs an internet feed. Suggestions? Thanks!

Or you can look into the Backroads Map books new download called the Navigator.

BRMB Navigator - The only Map you need in the palm of your hand

I have tried it. Biggest thing is to remember to save the section of map you will be using so that when you do not have service it works. Its an annual subscription but if you already own a tablet it is a minor cost compared to a dedicated unit.

Free Samsung for switching banks, gps works awesome. Lots of free offline maps available for it. Take your whole computer with you and toggle back and forth between all the maps you want to carry. Take pictures and videos to. Save a stream of windows 10 offline map pictures to get through those challenging snowmobile access points(no offline yet for this). This one i can hardly wait to here about. I have downloaded windows 10 offline maps on the laptop and let me tell you you can count the branches on a spruce tree.

How to download offline maps in Windows 10 Mobile | Windows Central Scroll down and hit the video

Windows 10 offline is far superior to google maps, tilt view satellite, street view like you would not believe. Plus a phone. Download Memory Maps i know it is compatible with windows 10 because i have it. This phone is probably free with a contract. Download one of 10 sun compass apps. And the end result would make any dedicated gps look like a hunk of junk. Windows 10 offline maps has canada and all the provinces, i have downloaded BC and Alberta fairly large downloads.... and they are free.

I have the Samsung t 350 with memory maps and google offline maps intalled it works awesome. Have have own 3 garmins and 3 Magellan handhelds over the years. I have not owned or tried windows 10 phone or tablet or apples products. The Samsung android works awesome though good battery life, how it stands up to getting bumped around time will tell. Anyone with a windows 10 offline tablet or phone please give us some feed back.

I have done some reading on using the offline maps but I'm still not 100% on how they work. Good tips so far. I really like the idea of having a bigger screen size.

With offline maps most work fairly simple. You save the map content of the area you will be using to the tablet and the GPS function will still work without data.

Ok second round of testing on the Samsung 8 tablet. We where going hunting a large area, so I quickly download 2 large google offline maps and way we go. We get out of cell range and the hunting roads I fire up the Samsung, turn it to mm 19.95 app and it shows a blank screen an ask download the maps ...well that aint happening, so I switch it over to maps I downloaded which take 1 hour to download the 3000 maps of bc and bang it works. I am switch between all the maps as we are driving down the roads not hunting at all, having the driver stop at all the old roads seeing if they are still there or visible, man i love this program. So I decide to toggle over to google maps, well it works but it is blurry, so instead of 2 large maps I should have taken the time to download 20 small maps and saved them. Which would have taken 10 minutes or so. Google needs to do more here as microsoft windows 10 you can download the whole province crystal clear. Watching the face of a person with a 600 dollar handheld with 100 dollars worth of software drop....priceless. I wish i would have had this samsung and etopo memory maps on a few white knuckle plane rides when you could not see a dam thing. Trying to figure out why the app did not work, it says you have to download the map using the route function...still can't figure that one out.

All summer of testing, memory maps works fantastic in the Samsung A tablet. Figured out how to download all the topo maps into the tablet as well, it is not to hard... but it takes about 30 minutes to download the whole province 1:50000 and another 10 minutes for 1:250000 and a few minutes for their free maps of Canada. Google earth also works fantastic. Windows 10 offline maps are not good at all at this time.
