If you can not afford to put diesel in it you should not of bought it deal with it i did.

I guess with an attitude like that you like to give your hard earned cash to someone else rather than keep it in your pocket..You must work for an oil company or a fuel stop or, or, or!!!!!!!!!!

sorry for luck your with the DPF delete 240turbo. I have done lots of DPF deltes and everyone has been happy with them. But I did have one truck that the millage never increased. WE did research and SCT had us try a few differnt things, but we never could get his truck to get better millage. So i don't know whats going on with thoose odd trucks. I have been useing the SCTs they work good, have heard some really good things about Spartan, I belive edge does have a chip that works, The moniter is black and it is an off road version, I don't recomend it right now, I Belive NADP has some modules that fool the computer so you can remove the DPF but not have to tune the computer so warranty will be easyer to get(but may still be denied depending on the dealer you go to as with any DPF delete) I have played with many chiped diesels over the years and I have found that the higher horse power levals do get you better milage if you drive nice, that is most of the time. The 6.4 seams to like the higher horsepower tunes to get better milage, just turn them down when you tow stuff so EGTS don't go throught the roof. But all trucks are differnt and are driven differntly so I recomend trying all the settings and watching what the milage diff is, You may be suprised at what setting on your chip will give you the best milage

Same here, running the 310 hp with total delete kit, 5" no complaints at all, cold air intake stage II, great fuel milage

If you all would drive at 110 km / hr , you would notice even better milage, on road trips i set it at 60 mph, yes i get passed (posted in 100km most travel @ 110) but fuel milage is freaking great. much better than oilboy:p

Been with it maybe two months, but only go nuts with it mayb 1-2x a month and not full out for long. But for the hwy, its is the best fuel milage @ 310, 270 is good, but 310 is better.

i normally run the 210, its still got tonnes of pull and no chance of taking out the heads or trans, ya the higher hp tunes 275 and 310 get way better fuel milage but i killed the trans in my 08 running the 275 as a daily driver and running it at the track, and the higher tunes shift to hard for everyday driving in the city, the 210 is buttery smooth and gets good milage.

Has anyone removed there DPF from there Ford Diesel Truck 6.4L. What kind of fuel savings. Is it worth it?

I've got a friend that went with spartan also, and loves it. Helped him put it in, Easy to install, Exhaust is easy to install also, and keep in one piece if you can lift the back of the truck up with a forklift or something of the sort, to let the suspension hang all the way down. ( in case of selling and want to return to stock)
Great fuel mileage, great power, even when pulling... The 200 shot of NOS that went on after is a little much.... Didn't lift the heads, but all 4 tires have less tread then before:d
Bought in Red Deer at Dirty Diesel from Rob.

what kinda boost you running

when you honk on bobo, it pulls full gauge, 40, maybe 45

as said, i drive alot at 100 km/h and its good,

around town, i will manually shift, 3rd from dead start till about 40-45 km/h then shift into drive. this seems to help the truck shift smoother, but i only drive about 20 km in town a day and its a 5:30am, no traffic, very few red lights. BUT i also will do this on a sunday nite, WINNIPEG has WICKED sunday nite cruze. and of course a person needs to be prepared to hand some young kid his a$$ and fill his tuner car full of black smoke:p

BTW: mine is a F250

Hey guys,

i'm wondering how a tuner will add 200+ HP, AND decrease fuel consumption...

thanks.

Getting rid of the dpf helps as it isn't dumping fuel into your exhaust to help heat the catalyst. The tuner is also changing the amount of fuel, timing, and multiple other things to increase hp and mpg

Just a question,
I am no mathematician, but how many miles do you have to drive.. lets say @ 5 MPG increase in mileage to get your money's worth out of a 2000$ DPF mod?

I tried to calculate this, and I can see a 25% increase in mileage. Lets say I fill 3 times a month, I save approx. 75 bucks... with the current fuel prices.
Divide that by 2000, you get your money back in 26.6 months. Am I on the right track?

I guess if you keep your truck longer than that you are ahead. A lot of diesel owners don't though. Plus there is the warranty thing too.

Like I said, I am a meatball mathematician, has anyone else done the math?
