Skyline cafe by eagles pass burnt down

Just a heads up to u guys that ride eagles pass and stop for food, munchies, gas at the skyline, it burnt down this am

Just a heads up to get what ya need before coming out from Revy or sicamous and have to go back to get stuff

Can't imagine it will be open for some time

No explosion, owner plugged heater in and it lit up right away, sound like mabe the fryer oil, no amount of fire extinguishers helped




Sucks forsure, real good people and place to eat ect with real food

Unfortunate to the say the least.
Now a full service truck stop will likely get built owned and operated by new canadians. Likely no more old time family feel there anymore.

I heard that an overloaded half ton pulled up to the pumps and the heat from the rear axle bearings caused the explosion. I also heard a local mechanic is heading up the investigation with DOT, fire officials and the automotive engineers association.
