Re: Gorman > Lang > Quartz

You are correct! Brian asked if he could join us... I knew about him before (someone last year mentioned to me in the parking lot that he's kickass), so I eagerly said yes! We didn't go into East Quartz on Saturday.

You are also 100% correct. Ridge above the Prairie Hills (through Cirque) on Saturday, and East Quartz (via the trail I initially scoped on Google Earth) on Sunday.
Lol, good old brian, showed me around gorman many times, he likes circue alot

Is he still on his 670???

Lol the one time, he feels he had a frayed belt

Just cut the cords, kept pinning it lol all around

He's what helps me, show people around here in sicamous....

He has that old 670 still and just bought/built a new one this year. Great guy, really shows people who just started sledding you don't need modern iron to get into the hills.

i do the same as he does once and a while, show up to the hill and join a group.

He's a real beauty! Solid dude that I can't wait to ride with again. His positive, "can-do" attitude is reflective of how sledding in mountains should be. It was humbling experience that exemplified the reasons to forget all of the the pomp and circumstances of this "rat race", get out there, be real, have fun, and most importantly, be safe.

In addition to that, I realized just how little of Golden I have ridden. Makes me want to hang out there more!!

Did you end up making the ride over? Was there looking into cirque last weekend. Didn't drop in though. How much further would it be to quartz? How was the snow down in cirque?

Yeah we went down into Cirque. It was good. Really good. We went all the way to the ridge just before dropping down to the Quartz trail. It's 2-3 peaks back; quite a ways. You kinda need to know where you're going. Good thing I had a GPS tracking my movements.

Hey Guys, so what is East Quartz like? Big/small? Steep? Contemplating going in there tomorrow with three snowbikes.
