I wouldn't try that road without really good studded winter tires. I stayed far away from the guys with the big mudder tires coming down.

The silent pass website says not to ride on the road, but also says to unload at 25km or so mark.... So what is it, because the trail is at 46km..

I wouldn't want to be going up that road with logging trucks coming down at me.

Staging this year is at 46KM. Be prepared for active logging at all times. Get a Radio...if not Mon-Sat wait at the start of the road for a logging truck and then follow....

Radio is a must on that road. Even if they're not logging. Still have service equipment working on machines

Great conditions up there today. Road was plowed right up to 45km (Mcmurdo turn off). Probably 20 sleds up there in total. Barely saw anyone. While the drive in was awesome, the trail was ****. Needs grooming badly! I think I lost a kidney somewhere out there. Puking snow on the way out. Play safe!

PS. They're setting up for logging at the 39. No trucks today but they were hauling in equipment. Please use a radio or at least follow someone who has one. Some close calls up there.

Heard trail up wasn't the greatest pack tire chains if you have a trailer folks. I just got to golden, time to have a few cold ones and harass the locals. We are headed to silent in the Morning to explore and check conditions.

That just sucks. Tough road when it's icy.

It's been 2 rollovers one this morning that passed at km30 and then tonight at km3 . Hope everyone is allright. Speed hurts lol. Lots of untouched snow but no visibility today. Typical for this weekend for the last ten years.
