Im planning on living in Golden or Revy this winter, havent decided which yet(they both have pros and cons)

and just ride 5 or 6 days a week,,, Might even collect some EI while im at it. Ive payed hundreds of dollars a month in EI premiums since I was 18. And this year im collecting some back. Why not?

Paid EI for close to 40 years...do not feel entitled to collecting it and sledding for a season. Why not? Because it is called Employment Insurance. If you need it please use it if you don't help those that do.

Oky doky. How about some guy on EI comes and does my job while I sled?? Turns out even tho I pay into that FAWKIN BS I cant even collect cause I work for my family... Guess Sledding all season will be coming out of my pocket. Screw the government and their BS programs any ways....

That's good to hear, Sounds close to where I am at. If you get off the beatin path golden has some awesome backcountry that nobody really knows about. Hit me up with a pm, I am usually riding 3 days a week from January to may.

I've rode golden for years, the last 5 years more than any other and loved every minute of it. lots of area to find snow, locals have been great, night life is great and safe, the only altercation i have been in Golden was with a crew from red deer, and that pissed me off. 1) because I live in the red deer area and 2) because it was feeding the "Alberta d-bag" stereotype. If you want to go sledding to fight, go to revy! If i had the opportunity to live in Golden for a winter, I'd take it.

Being from Red Deer, Id like to know the names or sleds/rigs they drove. PM me if you want. That **** pisses me off that people insist on going into anothers sandbox and pissing everyone off.

Sounds like the first thing I should do is get rid of my alberta plates when I move to golden, however any time that I have been to golden winter or summer I have found the people to be very very friendly. One of the reasons I want to live thier

A buddy of mine has a place up near hospital as well. We used to stay with him, but got sick of driving into town for supper and drinks. Long cab ride home, if you can get one. Pretty sweet riding to hospital right from his house though.
