Just ordered the carbon fiber complete rear suspension from Curt @ Nextech. Does anyone have any experience with this rear suspension? I wanted to buy the best and keep my money in Western Canada, I hope this suspension is worth it.

Should of bought a Mountain Magic skid then.

I looked at Mountain Magic, but did not like the spring setup. Nextech just seemed to be a more advanced suspension system with the mono shock and carbon fiber. Also Mountain Magic is selling Nextech suspensions.

But do they work?

According to APP in St. Albert, the Nextech mono suspension is one of the best out on the market if not the best suspension. They have been using this suspension for 2 years. After speaking to them, I don't think I will be disappointed, can't wait.:thumbsup2:

Thanks cey800, I will definitly post some pics during the install.

In my head
Very interested in hearing what you have to say about it. I like the technology behind it.

There will soon be a side by side comparison. We will see which is the better skid.

By who, and when? I spoke to Mountain Magic last night about ths skid, and they have one comming in the next couple weeks for testing. They said that if everything goes well they will be selling the Nextech skid. Like i said APP in St. Albert has done 2 years of testing, in their opinion it is one of the best.

The Mountain Magic skid is dated using the spring system, this is the only after market suspension that still uses the spring as far as I know. Everyone else has gone to air, this probably explains why they want to start selling the Nextech system. I would not pay $3399.00 for a spring suspension set up. Just my opinion.

It sounds to me that you want a skid for a good ride and not for climbing in deep snow. There is a HUGE difference.

Muskoka, ON. Of coarse I want the skid for deep powder boondocking and hill climbing. For 3500.00 I better get both.

Thanks. Only lately I started researching the rear suspensions for my XP, so I am only a beginner. The Mountain Magic skid looks like a high quality suspension, would of been my next choice. Keep supporting local.

Get ahold of IMSICK... I know he has one on his apex and as of last yr he loved it. Tell him who ya r, what ya got going on, and papa sent ya. He may be able to help ya with initial set-up

I sell and install the kmod rear skid. It makes some very noticeable geometry changes and drastically improves the ride. It also allows for far more adjustability and tuneability for snow conditions and riding styles. The price is very repspectable and install time depending what model of sled its going into is as little as 4hours. PM me for more info
