Are you going to raise the cylinders (thicker base gasket) at all or just adding the pipes? Are they the high altitude pipes?

I wasn't planning on the base gasket? That raises the port timing doesn't it? Then I would have to mill the head to get the compression back?

And yes the are according to Crankshop the H/A pipes.

I had the bolts break on me so i used a plywood anchor and came thru the underside of the tunnel with a 3/8 bolt and lock washer. Held good thru 30 barrel rolls!!

Ouch! Everything else alright? You can buy the anchors and bolts at Bolt Supply for cheap (<$1) if you ever need more....:)

Yes, you need to mill the head if you shim the cylinders. If they are the H/A pipes then you are good to go, thought maybe you just had the regular 670 pipes. They should work great, my shorty RV cover was awesome from them.

Here's The Seat On My '99 Summit 670x Mod: Pic 1 - This Is The Stock Seat Recovered And The Taillite Filled In And The Seat Filled In At Least To The Top Of The Rear Hump. Pic 2 - Rear View, And It Still Has The Storage Area And Even More, With The Taillite Completely Removed..... I Had It Done For $125.00 Total At One Of The Upholstery Shops In The City Here. Thought It Turned Out Okay, And Sits Much Higher, Especially With The Higher Handlebars.

That's pretty much what I was considering with my 99 MXZ HO. just filling in the impression. Going from a REV back to a S chassis is a hard pill to swallow sometimes!
