thinking about buying a new sled soon.I like how the pro 163 handled. but I dont like polaris's history with engines blowing up. the m8 153 felt okay for the 10 minutes I rode it, though I would go with a 162. since I'm undecided
I was hoping to get some opinions to help me out. thanks.

I have a Pro 163 and holy cow this thing does whatever I think, then bang it does it. Kind of like it's reading my mind. I've removed my sway bar and added Assault front spring so it don't bottom out and set the clutching for the elevation an that's it. I just ride the sled. I ride this sled at 2000 ft elevation mostly and I tell you I sure love my 163. I can still cut a 3 ft donut just like my 151, but I love having all that traction. When I rode it in Revy, WOW like I said Holy cow it's great.
The motor is is very responsive on/off the trottle is super with no hesitation. Guys who ride it say this motor is unreal it just rocks. So far I only got about 950 miles. I always fill the oil every ride so I know I'm using 1 liter of oil for every tank of fuel. This is fine with me cause I think the way I ride I would rather use oil than not enough. I never rode an m8 but all I can say is test ride both then make your own decision. What ever you choose it will be for you riding style and not mine. Good Luck.:d

I tried the pro out at revy during demo days and loved it. I'm wondering if the difference between the two would be extreme in the tree's.

I think the Extreme would be the driver on how he rides in the trees. I hate tree riding but had to do it in Revy one of my days, but the sled handles very well in the trees also. The sled is way easier to ride with the sway bar out. If you need to carve around a tree yes it does it with ease.

have u looked at the new proclimbs, comparing a 11 m8 to a 12 pro rmk ain't fair thats old body style of cat with new evolution of polaris, i have a riding buddy with a 162 polaris and i have a 153 cat they are so close and easy to ride its really hard to pick a favourite. i will not disagree with the flying frenchman but i would take a look at the new proclimb as well. personally i dont like the m chassis

I went from a 2011 153 m8 to a 2013 pro rmk163. I think the pro hands down handle way better and is easier to ride. I am not near as tired at the end of the day on the pro. Get the pro you will be glad you did. My pro was ridden all season bone stock as well.
