TOYO Open Counrty MT

Looking at putting a set of TOYO Open Country MT's 285-75R-16's on my GMC Crew cab. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them, are they loud on the hwy, do they wear well on the pavement, are they good in snow, are they suitable for a 3/4 ton anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

I got 23k on my last set, they're a great mud tire but hazardous in the winter and they don't like pavement..

I had them on my service truck I really liked them, but keep in mind they are a mud tire, they are loud on the highway and will wear fast if you drive alot on the pavement, I had the A/T's as well on my service truck but they were not as good in the mud, the A/T' will be going on my personal truck when I need a new set.

They are not as loud as some others by far (BF's are loud)... They are an awesome mud tire... Just mount on at least an 8" wide rim. They are E rated tire, Ya good to go for your unit. If you not running much weight, Drop the air down to about 45 lbs.... This is just MO.

Re: TOYO Open Counrty MT

Ya, Almost Any M/t(mud Tire) Is Gonna Be Somewhat Noisy On The Highway And Will Wear Faster Than An A/t(all Terrain) Tire.... The M/t Doesn't Have As Much Rubber On The Road As As A/t Tire(because Of The Big Lugs) And As A Result Will Wear Quicker... The Bigger Lugs, Do However, Work Better In The Mud Than An A/t Tire, But Normally The A/t Works Better In The Snow!!!

Re: TOYO Open Counrty MT

I ran 2 sets of them on my '04 F350 PSD. I found I was getting around 45K kms/set. I switched to Dick Cepek FCII's and am at 42K kms on them right now with about 45% of the tread still left. I run about 70% hwy/30% gravel. For me I won't ever run another set of MT's. Just my opinion.

Good day. My experience is exactly the same as shredder except i got 60,000 km max on 2 different sets of toyo open countrys. I am much happier with the Dick Cepeks.
