Unhappy Posi Locker???

Hey I got a 04 dodge ram 2WD (yea I know dont even start) so as its only 2wd sometimes and when I get stuck its 1wd im looking for a either a air locker or electronic locker or cable type locker anyone know where in or around edmonton will be a good place to get it and have it installed at? not looking to do alot of offroading but having 2 wheels spinning will help trailering in tight spaces. any help will be great. my glove box sticker says I have a corporate 9 rear axle.

Re: Posi Locker???

I think you would be better off putting a limited slip in. Probably cost less as well.

Re: Posi Locker???

Go With A Posi Unit Lot Less Trouble In The Long Run ..or You Could Weld The Spiders But You Would Have Wheel Hop

Re: Posi Locker???

Honestly, I would keep an eye open at the salvage yard and see what a used one with Limited slip cost. May be cheaper than any kit.

Re: Posi Locker???

inquire about a detroit locker, they may be more money but worth it. i had one installed in my old welding truck, worked great. as for hopping,in 4 wheel drive, there is none , even on tight corners on pavement . allthought they will make a very noticeable snapping sound , they are designed to unwind with little or no slip. welding works, but when they break, they break hard $$$$ GOOD LUCK
