Fuel Mileage when hauling enclosed trailer

What does eveyone get for mileage when hauling your enclosed trailer? I have been getting around 10 mpg with a 6 litre gas and was looking to install a cold air intake to help out. Anyone done this?

Re: Fuel Mileage when hauling enclosed trailer

Thats Actually Pretty Good Gas Mileage For A 6.0l CHEV Pulling A Trailer. Cold Air Kit Will Help A Little, And A Chip Would Probably Help A Little Too......... We've Put Lots In And Both Items Really Doo Help With Power And Most Claim Gas Mileage Increases Too.

Re: Fuel Mileage when hauling enclosed trailer

We did a trip a few years ago and I had my Duramax with a deck and a 2 place trailer. The other rig was a Duramax with a 4 place enclosed trailer.
We ran very colse to the speed limit to McBride and back and both rigs got 13 mpg.

Re: Fuel Mileage when hauling enclosed trailer

The Concorde... Loaded Heavy & pulling a 4/enclosed heavy also. Down South and back awhile ago.... getting around 10 +/- MPG. (as per electronic meter). This was also done with a lead foot..... SD not the best mileage out there.

Re: Fuel Mileage when hauling enclosed trailer

Keep In Mind, With The Diesels, The Fuel Is Waxier, Thicker, And You Will Obviously Get Less Gas Mileage Anyway, Than In The Summer.
