The Annual August Blackout 2008

Hey guys, just wanted to let you all know that the dates have been set for our Annual August Blackout for 2008. The largest diesel truck show of its kind in Canada!

Come to Castrol Raceway in Edmonton Saturday & Sunday August 16 & 17, 2008.

We have a lot of really awesome racers, events and other stuff on the go for our 5th Anniversary. This is one diesel truck event you don't want to miss. We have the NHRDA sanctioning the drag racing portion of the AAB next year. Other events include: Sled Pull Shootout, Burnout Contest and Show n Shine. Hope to see most of you at the track next year!

I have an update for you all.

We are putting up over $13,000 in cash to the winners of events at the August Blackout. And the pot is getting even bigger.

Sled Pull Shootout payouts: 1st-$2000 2nd-$1000 3rd-$500 to EACH CLASS. We are working on rules and what the classes will be, so stay tuned for updates on our website Annual August Blackout

Drag Racing - TBA and sure to be as sweet as the Sled Pull payouts

Burnout Contest payouts: 1st-$1000 2nd-$500 3rd-$250

Show n Shine payouts: 1st-$750 2nd-$375 3rd-$150
Fan Favorite: $200

This event is open to anyone who owns a diesel vehicle. You don't have to be the fastest to win either. There are 2 bracket classes that even out the competition for those who are running lower than 12 seconds. Just checkout the website for all the info. Hope to see you guys there!

We are reserving spots for ALL competitors/racers/sponsors in the Pit areas and I would like to get a list together of all the racers who are planning on coming to our event. Please email me the following info to dennis@nadp.ca

I will then assign you a stall number and send you information on where it is, when you can gain access to the track and the rules/regs of the facility. Thanks everyone. We have just upped the ante for our event. Now over $25,000 in CASH is up for grabs at The August Blackout. Nowhere else will you see one event putting up over $25,000 bucks in one weekend. Here is the break down:

Pro Street: 1st $3000, 2nd $2000, 3rd $1000

Super Street: 1st $2000, 2nd $1000, 3rd $500

Pro-1: 1st $1000, 2nd $500, 3rd $250

Pro-2: 1st $500, 2nd $250, 3rd $125
