Re: May Long Weekend

Be out in the bush camping somewhere. Not too close to the mountains though....still gets real cold at night in May when your in a tent, and weather can still throw anything your way. Had this happen one May long weekend while camping around Nordegg. Just little old me and no one else around. Woke up to a foot of snow on the ground and it was still snowing hard. Packed up and got out there and glad I did...it got way worse and many campers got stranded for a few days. Although that could have been fun too.

ZRrrr... what on earth would you be doing out there by yourself on a long weekend?? Where was the wife? On second thought.... a weekend in the bush by myself (without kids and wife) sounds pretty dang good right now! Snow storm and all.

May Long... going to Calling Lake quading and camping with family

Re: May Long Weekend

We tried booking the group site at chamber's creek for MAy long and completely booked for the year, lady called back 10 min. later with a cancellation so now we're booked for June 6, 7, 8. So far we have 12 quads going and the list keeps growing. We thought about going to Vega for may long but talked to some peeps here on the site and they said it's absolutely nuts with no place to park your 5th wheel unless you come early. So another words may long is still completely up in the air!!!!
