Re: If you own a Master lock No.5

I`ve been watching about a hour worth of videos on picking locks and not too many of them seem safe. They are able to do the same thing with other locks too. The locks with the round keys can be picked with a BIC pen.

Re: If you own a Master lock No.5

Did you see the excellent 3 minute video on how to make a bump key? What a shockingly simple concept.

After watching the video I grabbed an old wiser key and my file, filed the key down in about a minute, stuck it in my house lock and I had it open in about 5 attempts. I think if I would have been more careful how I filed it would work on the first or second try like in the video. So there you go, anyone with a standard wiser or schlage lock on your house, any one could get in to it in under a minute. All you need is a $3 file, an old key and the tiniest bit of know how. I would not suggest showing this to your kids.

Re: If you own a Master lock No.5

Yeah, but most thieves are not this smart. One minute to get into your house using a bump key, or 5 seconds kicking in the door. Which way do you think they will choose.
