I need some ideas. Please help

I need something to do. Someone out there has got to have ideas. I can only read for so long, or do so many puzzles, and there is nothing on TV. I have rented all the videos that I want to see and watched ones I have so many times that I know then by heart. I could do some packing but then I can’t move the boxes after I have them full, so that is out. Not that I have much that I could pack, I never really unpacked much when I moved in here 3 yrs ago. I need to find something to do because I have been cooking, No I have been baking and then I have to eat the baking. Witch is not good because in one week I have made, chocolate chip cookies, apple pie, tonight I made a lemon meringue pie, which would not be so bad, but I already have ¼ of it gone and it is not even cooled yet. Someone out there has also gone through this where they are not to do anything that they would normally be able to do. I am not used to sitting around doing nothing. So please start giving me some ideas that I can do. Now remember I am not to lift, pull, push or stress my shoulders in any way.

How about picking up an instrument? I play guitar, the drums some-what, and am starting to get into the recording side of it, and it keeps me entertained for hours!

How long are you on the 'To do nothing list'.... That sucks !..... Work on your new GPS ??? I was going to say I need a hand inside my shop installing tin until I read your last line....... You can always come & sup & tell us .... Boys the color is all wrong !... Kidding !

I already piano and can only do so much of it, and I can't hold a guitar or the violin for any lenght of time (broken collarbones). As well drums are out due to the noise level. But a good idea

3-6 months from day of injury. which was Aug 25, but it is not healing as fast as the Dr. was hoping it would so it will early spring tell I am back in the barn riding. See I have a boarding and training barn, I am use to spending my days riding 4-6 horses a day as well as any farm work that needs to be done. Then I would spend my nights hiking, blading, wall climbing, got in to fencing last winter and was going to do it again this year. I am not use to sitting around doing nothing. I can't even take the quad out to check fence. I am going nuts.

I don't have a sled, just a quad, and truck and 11 horses O' and one kid.

What to do? Can you do body work on a 53 buick? Im know who has one in need of some work. Can you drive a semi and pick-up my sled in Quebec? How about a winter supply of chocalote chip cookies for the Snow And Mud crew on all our rides. Just kidding. How about just sitting back and relaxing so you heal better so we can go out quadding this spring. We dont want you to overdoo it and postpone your healing. Just think of all the places your quad will take you and how you need to be healed to doo that. I can imagine how bored you are but your classes start soon and now you have time to study. Good Luck

11 horses?! Guys - stay far, far away. LOL

I too have been drawn into the morass that is horse "support". My wife loves her cutting horses. Now if snowmobiling is like throwing $20 bills in the breeze, horses are like $100 bills into a tornado. But I got taken in by her big beautiful eyes, the long dark hair, the flawless skin - and that was just the damn horse!! At least my wife was up front with it. A few of my buddies have been sucked in by the girl - only to learn about the horse addiction after the deal has been sealed.

To make matters worse - horse addiction is worse than cocaine and affects the whole family. Sons are a little more immune to it until they figure out that Horses= Teenage Girls and the girl to boy ratio is about 20:1. Heaven forbid you have daughters. I am sure they start their addiction right out of the womb, and it doesn't let up until they are in their 20's. Maybe. One of my best friend has his two oldest girls in university in the States and he is still supporting the damn nags! They both had to take them to university.

So be forewarned bays. Be very, very careful around a woman with horses. They are sneaky.

On the plus side, they can usually drive a tractor and have nice butts. Maybe it all evens out in the end...... LOL

Some you say is true, but every female is different just like all guys are different. I pay for all my horse stuff by myself always have always will. And seeing as this is what I do for a living and have done for over 20 yrs, I think being down to 11 and by next fall down to 5 I say that I am doing good. I was at 20 a few years ago.
