I stained it and then engraved 1ft diagonal tile with a border and a maple leaf in the middle. It is a new business I would like to try. The process is called engrave a crete. This is from existing concrete. I am interested in do another interior job this winter. Any one with commercial building? Logos can be engraved right into the concrete. I need to build a portfolio. Next summer I am going to do the driveway. |

![]() | Re: Garage makeover pics DRS, that is awesome! Nice job. I think that there would be a huge market for this sort of floor finishing commercially and for those who own residential shops or gargages. I painted my shop floor with a polymere based paint and I am happy with it after a few years.. so far. If I had the option to add a pattern I would have done it for sure. Especially if I could have added my company logo I went with a cool grey finish, next time I'd go a bit lighter?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Garage makeover pics Thanks for all the positive comments and interest. At this time I really have not thought of a price. Of course everythings varies depending on what is done. To be honest, that 1 foot tile pattern is more time consuming then say a 4 ft pattern. Then there are your borders, multiple colors and any other type of graphics. I do have a good selection of templates to choose from. I do know that a granite garage floor is likely going to be in the $5.50 - 7 dollars / square foot. As for this time will tell. I am interested in doing all your garages, but I do need heat for this time of year. More importantly I am really interested in doing a commercial job where I can showcase the work. A price then can be worked out. I do need to build a portfolio. Remember this is with your existing concrete! I will keep you all interested posted. |

![]() | Re: Garage makeover pics I have a commercial shop with 8 bays and might be interested in looking at the cost for 1 bay to give it a try for you. How easy does it clean? How impervious is it to oil, grease, and dropped tools etc. |

![]() | Re: Garage makeover pics Nice work you've done there. Might have to come up with a snow & mud template!!!!! I want to acid stain a couple rooms in my basement on existing concrete, looks unbelievable. Witht the little research i've done it doesn't look to bad for a DIY project, on a small project that is. My plan is to saw cut the grout lines about a 1/4" deep so staying between the lines will be easy, then grout the groove just like tile once finished staining. Not looking to get into the buisness but can you PM me any additional info on how to tackle a personal project. The floors i saw were in a show home in the Stony Plain area. Thanks.
