Thumbs up Air Intake and Exhaust

I finally ordered a cold air intake and bigger exhaust for my truck - 2003 F-150 4x4 Supercrew (5.4L). A place here in Calgary (Unlimited Performance) will be installing it in a couple of weeks. The manufacture of the exhaust is JBA and the intake is AFE. I will report on the service when the job is complete! Big foot has been telling me to do this for a while. Should improve the performance and torque when I am pulling the holiday trailer... It's not a diesel, but it will have to do.

ummmmm..... power.....

I was quoted just below $1200. The exhaust in stainless... Should sound and work good. I'll let you know how it is when it is in. What year is your truck?

no i didn't chip it but i would like to supercharge it one guy i talked to said it would increase the torque by 150 ibs. cost is to high at this time does your f150 have a 373 rearend because the higher gears make it work harder

It's got a Hemi...

The wife has an 05 Dugango Hemi, and I put an AIRAID Stage 2 Cold Air Intake Kit. I put it on as soon as we got the Durango, so I can't say if there was much of a difference. The biggest thing that I did notice though, is that now you can HEAR the HEMI roar when you mash the pedal! (my wife still thinks that there is a hole in the exhaust!)

I have the 05 f150 5.4 with Airaid intake, magnaflow dual stainless cat back exhaust, and preditor power program and the biggest difference without a doubt was the exhaust, even more so than the program. As mentioned before the intake air is really loud though, like flipping the air cleaner lid years ago, it sounds like it is going to suck the hood in. Preditor programmer has three setting the lowest setting just changes and firms the shift points and then the next 2 change timing and fuel curves however also require higher grade fuel. Set on 3 the shift points are very firm and under heavy foot get tire squeel shifting from 1st - 2nd and even 2nd - 3rd on occasion, I would have to say that it is pretty hard on the drive line for everyday use. As for price, if you have connections to use wholesale, try DIX performance total was around 1200.00
