Sun Peaks/Cahilty Mtn

hi all just a note that Sun Peaks got a good amount of snow for some great trail and meadow riding..went yesterday...spectacular ride from Chase side up the McGillvery and onto the backside Sun Peaks here are some pics....happy postin..Brian

How were the trails once you got up above McGillvery Lake? Bumps or still good?

was great!!!!all to ourselves...lol...we went early......fresh snow...up to 3 ft in areas...lotsa fun...

bumpy in some areas but looks like minimal traffic over the past few weeks
been ridin up there since 1st week of nov!!!!!

It looks like you guys had an incredible day. I was just catching a snooze we went to Green Lake on Saturday and back on Sunday so I'm tuckered out. The trail was in good shape though 80 miles each way. I heard Sunday was a bluebird day all over. Five of the guys that went with us to Green Lake are continuing up to Wells on the Gold Rush Trail. They would have been in Likely staying at the Hilton tonight. The KSA will be grooming the Tod Mountain area in the next week.

wow....that guy has a few probs....lol......wander if he was from club or sun peaks tours??....hmmm.......been up almost every weekend.....been great....lotsa snow.......great weather last weekend and a big stuckfest the weekend before......amazing how things can change in a week!!!!!!.....heres a couple more pics from last few weeks...still havnt gotten to alpine yet...(i dont know existing trail)....chkd old horse trail on sunday.....still tough to get beyond logged area, but with a bit more snow...........hmmmmmm..thanx Bri

hi glenn.....this area is all just outa the sun peaks resort area boundries...ppl stage usually from sun peaks parking lot at P6.....sun peaks is about 45 min north of kamloops bc.......i live near chase bc and we take a backroad up to the resort and ride in via mcgillvery lake main logging road....most of those pics are either at mcgillvery lake (friends cabin)or at cahilty meadows, cahilty mountain (kamloops snowmobile association trailer) or at the snowmaking resovoir near the ski hill on the back side....there is so much area to explore that i seem to have a different ride every time....let me know if anybody coming thru the area and wants to ride, our clan is always ready to go!!!!
