OLD MOD

Man today brought back some MEMORIES!!! 10years ago I had a 1986 mx 470cc. I stripped that old sled, long tracked it to a 121" as they were only a 116" painted it decaled it with 98 MXZ decals, red ski skins, bored,ported,polished the engine. I sold it to my cousin almost 10yrs ago, he phoned my yesterday and said the old yellow rocket finally got tired. After 5800miles it finally lost enough compression she just couldnt bare another 2 STROKES. So he shipped me the engine and were goin for round TWO.

A trip down memory lane...Dad had a blizzard 5500 when i was a kid. I think it was the first year without the leaf spring and shock for front suspension.

It goes back further like 78 everest 444, 79 everest 440, i still have in mint cond a 72 olympic 340 But the pics are in dads album

that old SRX in the pics, when i had it given to me it had 2 bad pistons and cylinders. Rebuilt it and my buddy had a 93 xlt 580, he was so pissed when the old 440 handed him his azz, That little sled would do 108mph on the road, I know the COPS told me so

Well the old mod engine is stripped, looks like a set of pistons, rotary shaft seals and some gaskets and she'll be back on the snow. I still cant believe this engine made it this long. my cousin is a solid 280lbs and rides this thing like he stole it
