difference in sound with aftermarket pipe?

just wondering if there is a difference in sound when you install an aftermarket pipe. my dads 700 summit just has a can on it, and is quite loud but if it had some aftermarket pipe would it be louder yet? (ps im buyin it from him and want it to be louder than his new one!!)

Loud sleds get riding areas closed. Loud does not equal horsepower, most often times the loudest cans also hurt performance more than they help it.

Get a can that increases HP, not decibels.
