Pipes for the Grizzly

I am looking at getting a pipe for the grizz.I have finally got a K&N filter and am going to buy a two brothers pipe.( i think that is how it is pronounced).I was wondering if anyone has one of these? My buddy has one on his 07 ,,it is not to loud ,not like HMF.But if any opinions on pipes out there would be happy to hear from ya all

Yes Major I do believe that is the correct spelling for that brand of pipe. I guess that is what is on Medlers mind all the time

I'm not sure if it's available for the Yamaha, but i have heard to go with Muzzy pipes or don't bother. The Muzzy pipes are pricey but they say worth the extra $$$.
Myself i don't really like the extra noise of piping, i would think about a chip instead, just my 2 cents.......

Re: Pipes for the Grizzly

my buddy has a two brothers pipe on his 07 grizz 700 and when you open it up WOW its a high cracking sound, on long trips he has to stop to rest his eardrums, i would go with HMF w/ quiet core insert if you dont want too loud

Re: Pipes for the Grizzly

I am pretty sure you can't get a muzzy system for the grizzly as they don't have it on there web site. The HMF swamp series is another good option if you don't want to loud. It isn't alot loader than stock but still gives the better performance and deeper rumble to it. Also if you like playing in mud and water you never have to worry about repacking them as well.
I have never heard the HMF utility with the quiet core installed but without you can hear them coming for miles.

Re: Pipes for the Grizzly

how do you get a k&n..mine is just a flat piece of foam and the best you can do with it is to put a different 2 stage piece of foam with the "special"oil spray(i have done this to my 700 fi grizz)..do you have to change the airbox?

The K&N filter is just a replacement filter. You can get them at almost any shop that sells atv's or automotive parts. It sits in place of where your stock filter was but has way more airflow. Some say they let in alot of dust but my old honda had one with a prefilter on it and I never had any problems.
