Has anyone been into Silent or Silver mines? Any snow yet?

there's snow,just not sure if can make waterfall i'd think it would be good chance,have seen good systems going though area,going is only knowing! haha

silver mines needs a slide to come down not sure if had enough snow just yet.

there has to be quite a bit of snow this time of year to get all the way into Silent. Not that I wouldn't go for a spin this weekend to see.......

I'll be out this weekend & maybe go up there for a drive and trail ride to see what it looks like.
The Mines are a good month of great snow, away from busting in there!!!!

Hey RN...let us know what you find and when you're bustin' trail in!
Hubby was out getting wood up that way last wknd...he drove quite a ways without any snow. Like Carbon said can't see the waterfall being ready...and the way around it would need alot more snow to get up that way.
Soon though...

When was it last year you broke trail in Mur?
From what's being posted, it sounds like you're getting more snow North of Golden than we're getting South of Golden.

Actually haven't been around early season the past 2 yrs to have to break trail there........... not minding much either...

I'll be out this weekend then again on Nov 28th weekend with some AB boys that will be looking to get in there !!!

We went into silent pass last year 3rd week of nov. A group of sledders staying at the same cabins as us had broken the trail in the day before and had gotten into the silvermines the following day. We were able to make it up the waterfall early in the morning despite there being a ton of obstacles to get around. When we went back down there was a group of probably 30 sledders at the bottom waiting for a try to get up but a lot of people were getting stuck part way up and digging big trenches. I wonder if the lake is totally frozen right now with the warmer weather through out oct.

broke trail into Silent today with a few guys following me in......

Most of the way but ran out of time & daylight. Wicked deep snow and awsum day with NO damage.........to my sled anyways!!! Few bumps and bruises to a cpl machines & LOTS of stucks, for them

great guys that helped me & I returned the favor, just some newbies.

Parked any where from 21 all the way up to 39km with good snow all the way in with about 8" at km 39. upwards of about 4 to 6 feet up top at 6500ft. creeks were a bit of a chore getting in, but good heavy snow should fill them in now that they're pounded down. Waterfall is a no-go......creeks are still open at the bottom & too many landmines. a cpl hundred yards to go then right up top!!!

Gonna finish the trail in on Tuesday..........who's in with me???
