500 Renegade

I REALLY want to get rid of my POS wolverine and get the 500 Renegade. I didnt realize it was 60 lbs heavier than hubby's grizz.
Think its still a good idea? Pros? Cons? Anyone know of a dealership who will let me take one out for a testy?

Re: 500 Renegade

I have a 800 Gade, and I came from sport machines, but I haven't got a single complaint! I think if you can afford it, spend the extra for the 800, but regardless you're in for a good time on the machine.. Depending on your riding style and terrain, the weight difference is negligible. As for testing one, I'm not too sure but ask around and I'm sure you'll find one.

Re: 500 Renegade

Yes now that I see that there is really no difference between the 500 and 800 other than about $1500 and a lil bit o speed, I cant see why I wouldnt go for the 800. I am just concerned with how heavy it is. I went from a Suzuki Z400 to a 450 Wolverine which is a piece of crap.

Re: 500 Renegade

Well about the only thing you might want to do less of is any jumping. I've seen about 7 feet of air on a gade, and that was pushing it. Other than that, even with my machine geared for mud and hills, I can still push it over 100KM/h in speed and play like any sport machine would.

What about the weight concerns you most?

Re: 500 Renegade

The only concern I would have about the 500 Renny is how you'll be waiting for your hubby all the time. LOL. There is no comparison to the old school Wolverine....I think you'll like it fine.
