Re: polaris rad issues

pull the rad out. get a mount made for it and mount it to your front rack. then run your hoses. very easy and cheap to do. saves alot of time and hassle on the trail. i am going to be doing mine soon.

Re: polaris rad issues

I purchased this rad washer a few years ago.
Runs off a garden hose or trailer sprayer
Just another idea to get the mud out

crap i deleted all my pics of my old 500 when i had the rad relocated and snorkels. i had it so you could still put stuff in the front box but it was no where close to water tight. and you could open the front lid all the way.

Re: polaris rad issues

That looks good but how did you get the snorkles to seal when you open and close the box?

Re: polaris rad issues

the stacks are 2" pvc and i used 1.5" spa hose. so the hose runs up inside the stacks all the way to the top.

Re: polaris rad issues

Hey.... thats a good idea I will consider that when doing mine just not sure if 1.5" is big enough on an 800 considering how big the factory belt intake and exhaust is Has anyone else done this on an 800 with 1.5?

Re: polaris rad issues

you will need 2 1.5" intakes for the air intake and 1.5" is fine for the belt. lots of people have done it.
