Big Bore Kit Help

i just purchased an overbore 1025cc kit for my apex. My sled has no performance mods on it. I was just wondering if there is anything i need to add on or do to my sled when i put in my kit. Also i read that the kit said that cylinder boring and re-plating required and i have no idea what that means. Also will i need to get a Top End Bearing??

a 1025 for a 1000 cc sled....

if the cylinders need boring that means they need to go to a machine shop to be bored out and replated.(take the pistons to the machine shop of your choice and they will match each piston to a specific cylinder) so basically you just got pistons. its a good idea to replace your rod bearings since you are in there. and all gaskets aswell. i dont know much about 4 strokes but this seems like ALOT of work for 25cc? not sure that there will be much gain here?

Re: Big Bore Kit Help

Usually if you buy a over bore kit all the cylinders should be punched out and re-nickeled , your best bet if you are in Edmonton is to call up Mott's in St. Albert ,and see what they can do for you , or give Ted a call @ Terra Alps ! both of these mod shops are great !

Ya thats gonna be an expensive job for a small gain. Did you blow the motor and it needs to be bored out?
