New 700 Mud Pro

A friend of mine is considering buying one of these babies. If someone has one I would like to hear how you like it? Have you had any problems or quirks with it so far?

Re: New 700 Mud Pro

There are several Mud Pro owners on arcticchat.com. Sounds like they are happy so far.

Thumbs up Re: New 700 Mud Pro

I've owned mine since the end of January. Been on a couple of all day rides in deep snow and I have'nt had a stitch of problem with it. I followed the recommended break in proceedure, changed the oil at 10 hrs and varied the speed I traveled at and it's been great.
Most of the riding has been in 4x4. It's not a fast machine, mine tops out at 90 km/hr but I did'nt buy it for speed. The factory Outlaw M.S.T tires love to chew through the snow and with the weight of 793 Lbs you will either dig yourself out or deeper into trouble. As for the handling the suspension is stiffer than the ride in on the other kitty's but if you turn them down a notch or two it smoothens the ride out nicely. All in all I think that the MudPro was a great investment.

Re: New 700 Mud Pro

I've got one, steering is a little tough sometimes, esp. in diff lock.
I like ,will go through almost anything,i've been in water to top of seat, it keeps goin.
Definetly not as fast as some, but did not buy for speed.
One other thing if you ever gonna flip over climbing a hill ,,get off it , I tried to catch mine using my feet for leverage to keep form comin over ,,REALLY BIG MISTAKE, it folded me in half and crushed my helmut (best 100 dollars I ever spent)
Moral of that story , it is heavy
One more thing if you hit water holes at a high speed the snorkel has a tendancy to inhale water when it splashes over you, but it takes a few times for that to happen.

Re: New 700 Mud Pro

If you have a mud pro and it dies from a blown fuse, main fuse. Cat used just enough wire to the factory winch control. After a few miles the wire rubs itself bare and hits the frame. it will leave you stranded. Most dealers dont even fix this and they know about it. its not warrenty till it breaks. top gear motorsports in drayton valley is sending them out fixed. its a small wire that goes down the steering stm and then under the airbox. You have to pull the rack and snorkels. From there turn the bars and you will see how tight the wires are. After some re routing and silicone my friends mud pro will never have a problem again

actually not all dealers know that, iv sold 10 and have not had an issues, but thanks for the heads up.. we will check the ones left in stock and also check the customer ones as they come in.....lol i dont like labels...yes im a dealer but were not all the same. just as if you have a dick for a neighbor, you dont want to be labeled as a dick just cause you live by him, its called stereo typing. all quadders are not irresponsible and rowdys. at least not the ones i know...
T

thanks for understanding, no hard feelings just an observation..
