The hone will leave a circular cross hatch pattern on the braking surface.... much like a cylinder fine cross hatch except on a flat surface. The tool looks similar to a large die grinder/drill wire wheel, but it has abrasive beads on it like a cylinder bead hone. Side view kind of looks like this: ___||___ |_______| |||||||| ooooooo I've seen it done with a flywheel grinder, but that leaves a true (no run-out) disc, which then needs a small warp introduced into it.

![]() | Re: 450 kodiak squealin rear brake I've been running EBC severe duty pads and it seems like if you burnish them in, and get them real hot when you first put them on they last longer and they are quieter, they still get noisy at times it seems i think its a kodiak grizzly thing?
