1986 Fourtrax 350 tapping noise

Hi this is my first time here. I bought two 1986 fourtrax 350's for my two sons. One had a bad intake valve and one with a bad exhuast valve. Replaced both. the one with the intake valve runs great. the one with the exhuast valve has a tapping noise in the engine. Set valves to gap in manual. Any ideas?

I have the same machine since new and have the same tapping noise.
The noise I have is from the cam chain, which really makes noise for the first 3-4 minutes, but when the engine warms up, the noise goes away.

My machine needs a new chain and chain guide/tensioner as the metal backing is what is tapping. Mine has over 65,000 miles on it, and this is the first bit of noise that it has made.

Replaced Valve rockers and noise is gone.
