Tire repair kit

Im glad I carry a small portable tire repair kit. On Sunday I was riding with some of the members from the Outlaw Atv Club and 4extreme lost his right front valve stem totally. We were quite a few km from the trucks too. We all looked for the valve both in the tire and on the trail and found nothing. I cleaned the mud off and used a few tire plugs and wedged them in the hole. Lococoin used his air pump with the sports ball filler and injected the needle through the stickey plug and filled the tire. Then we were able to keep going. And it lasted more than back to the truck with some good riding in between.
Now I will add some valve stems to my kit.

Re: Tire repair kit

That is good creative thinking.... One will have to keep that idea in a file in the knowledge box for future use..... Ride on !

Thumbs up Re: Tire repair kit

That Is Quite Creative, Ron... I've Had Tires Come In With Branches Whittled Down To Fit The Hole Where The Valve Goes, And Then They Poured Water On It Till It Would Swell Up Enough To Seat, And They Too Used A Needle Valve To Fill It....it Only Lasted The Few Miles To Get Back To Their Acreage, But Thats All They Needed.

Re: Tire repair kit

Thanks again Ron for the help. It worked better than I thought it would. It only leak air when I got it to the pressure washer.
