Re: Side by Side

I'm going to buy the Ranger, Just because of towing and box capacity. If I didn't need that it would be a Rhino.

Re: Side by Side

Kubota diesel is the direction I am thinking of going. Looked at them last season. Use more so around the so called farm (Money pit- retreat) & the mud mill.
Going to spend some more time looking at all brands before I commit.

Re: Side by Side

Just bought a 700 Ranger. Always liked Polaris and wanted the extra seating capacity of the Ranger.

I am looking at the RZR, for a toy... The wife seems to like the look of them. I like that they are not much wider than a quad.

Re: Side by Side

I saw an ad on TV yesterday by some American ambulance chaser, looks like they are trying to start a class action suit against Yamaha on behalf of anyone injured in a Rhino rollover. I never realized that there was an issue with them rolling too easily.

Re: Side by Side

From what I heard, it's not necessarily the issue of them rolling easily rather that people stick their legs out to stop the machine from tipping over and getting them broke. When a quad dips over you just jump off. That's not going to happen in a sidexside and your natural reaction is to stick your leg out to try and right the machine.

I know a guy who bought a Kubota diesel. He said it's to heavy for playing in the bush. Stuck all the time. He said he loves it in the late fall when the ground is froze up for moose hunting.

I guess that's why they come with doors and seatbelts and stuff like that.

Re: Side by Side

cycle works west has a Kawi Teryx in, just the base model, no speedo or guage cluster. It will be interesting to see how they compare.

Re: Side by Side

I'm a yamaha guy so it would be a rhino, true diff-lock. I love the looks of the razor it is smaller and nimbler through the bush but you sits pretty low to the ground so your arse is always dragging through the mud and water all the time. Couldn't see myself with a big red or a ranger too bulky and the rad plugs up to easy.....still have to see the green ones in action yet......right kittyman?
